Fresh English peas are one of the best-tasting vegetables in the entire garden. There's just no comparison between fresh garden peas and those bought at the grocery store. Green Arrow Pea is an heirloom, open-pollinated English pea variety that provides bountiful harvests and easy picking. Plants grow on average 28" tall and will require some form of trellising to support the heavy-yields. We suggest using a panel trellis or a modified Florida weave with wooden stakes and twine ran on several levels between the stakes. Green Arrow Pea produces double pods at each node. Pods grow outward for quick and easy harvesting. Pods are slim, dense and pointed at each end. Each pod will grow to about 4 1/2" long with 8-11 plump peas per pod.
