Green Tiger Lettuce

Green Tiger Lettuce is an oak leaf lettuce that is an open-pollinated lettuce variety that is a spring-crisp lettuce type with the classic green oak leaf shape. Leaves are a medium green color and deeply lobed. Baby leaves are uniformly bright green on front and back, have a narrow stem and smooth undulating lobes with a wide, rounded top. Green Tiger Lettuce is heat-tolerant and slow to bolt as temperatures warm in the spring/early summer. It also has been known to maintain sweetness as temperatures warm and doesn’t get bitter in the heat as some varieties do. This is a great variety for salads, sandwiches, wraps and more. The deeply-lobed leaves have a large surface area that will absorb sauces and dressings to give your dish maximum flavor. Green Tiger Lettuce performs best when transplanted.
