Stonehead Cabbage is a hybrid cabbage variety that is widely-considered one of the easiest to grow. Stonehead is resistant to many common cabbage diseases and also resistant to cracking and splitting as it matures. This variety produces round, medium-sized heads that average 4-6 lbs. An AAS winner in 1969, Stonehead is an early-maturing variety with a great holding ability. This lengthens the harvesting window so that you don't need to harvest the entire crop/row at one time. This is a great variety for making any cabbage dish imaginable. Use it for slaws, sauerkraut or filling winter soups. Cabbage will grow best in areas where weeds are kept to a minimum.
