We love the Fresno Chili for its sweet, fruity profile and medium heat. Originally crossbred in the 1950s by a farmer named Clarence “Brownie” Hamlin, the pepper was named after Hamlin’s beloved county. Though similar to a red jalapeno, the Fresno shines through its citrus and sweet flavor. We’ve taken our love for this pepper and salt-fermented it for a bright, sunny, and funky treat bottled as our Fermented Fresno Hot Sauce.
