This triple is lighter than a normal double horn with stopping valve, provides a very full range, and fulfills the sound concept of a full double horn. Colleagues next to you many not be able to tell if you've played on the Bb or high F side. A full forte sound is possible on the high F horn and it gives the necessary security up into the highest range.
