Indonesian coffees are typically described by their full body, more earthy flavors, distinct herbal tones, and low acidity. These include crops in Sumatra, Java and Timor, blended to a rich but not bitter combination. Roasted dark, this coffee is smooth with a heavy body that is sometimes even described as syrupy. Many of these coffees are grown by a woman-run cooperative whose proceeds help create programs for health, education and public infrastructure projects that benefit all co-op members.
