19th Century French Faience Napoleon Scene Plates

Set of four antique French faience plates depicting four Napoleonic scenes in a black and white transferware design. Made in Choisy-le-Roi (Isle de France, Paris), mid to late 19th century by H. Boulenger & Cie, manufacturer of faience and maiolica.The four scenes are: Schoenbrunn Palace in Vienna (Napoleon's headquarters during the French occupation 1805-1809); Bataille d'Austerlitz; Francois II visitant Napoleon; and Vous etes grande comme le monde (words spoken by General Kléber to Bonaparte after the victory of Aboukir Battle in 1799).  Set of four plates 8.25" dia Great antique condition, with minor chips in the glaze around the rim consistent with age
