Antique Cantonese Famille Rose Bowl With Rooster Motif

A fantastic early 20th century Cantonese Famille Rose 7.5" round decorative bowl with a beautiful rooster motif all around. This bowl was skillfully and exquisitely hand-decorated with a very intricate design featuring four roosters, bok choy Chinese cabbage, butterflies, cherry trees and blossoms, birds and a thick border with eight medallions with flora, birds and geometric yellow enamel. Absolutely stunning antique piece and in fantastic condition. This bowl is full of symbolism: in Feng Shui, the Rooster is a symbol of good luck and prosperity while in Chinese culture the rooster is an honored creature and one of the twelve animals forming the Chinese zodiac.  7.5"W x 3"H China circa 1930s Not for food; decorative purposes only Excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks
