A pair of large armchairs with a Neoclassical silhouette, featuring rich, dark mahogany wood frames with hand-carved details, including striking rolled arms with fluted accents and sturdy, decoratively turned legs. The large seats and tall backs are comfortably upholstered in a durable, neutral-toned fabric, providing a perfect blend of support and style.Their origin is unknown (no original marks or labels remain) but the design draws heavily from the grandeur of the Neoclassical and Regency eras. Meticulously carved from lustrous mahogany, showcasing classic design elements such as elaborately scrolled arms with fine reeding and robust legs that are heavily carved. Curved stretchers connect all four legs forming a curved "X" shape, with a central ring element where the curves intersect. Most likely of French or American origin. They also present a few similarities to the French Os de Mouton (sheep bone) chair.  Set of two chairs 31.5ʺW × 31.5ʺD × 46.25ʺH Circa late 20th century Really
