Hand-Painted Polychrome Delft Tulip Candle Holders Pair

An original pair of vintage polychrome Delftware candle holders molded and decorated in the shape of tulips. They are very light and delicate and were hand-painted with so much precision. They are pure art and easily recognizable as original Delftware.   Tulips were introduced to Western Europe at the end of the 16th century and the Dutch people soon became besotted with them and to this day they represent wealth in the Netherlands.  Set of two candle holders 6.5"H x 2.5"W at the base Made in Holland by Old Dutch Ceramics Pottery circa 1960 and signed by the artist  Excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks
