It can be used to check high-side or low-side pressure, or monitor both simultaneously if two instruments are used. The hose-free design uses far less refrigerant when servicing, and easily connects to standard Schrader valves. With two Testo 549i pressure probes plus two Testo 115i pipe-clamp temperature probes, you will have a wireless system that can check all pressures and temperatures and calculate superheat and sub-cooling.
