Lucy Nguyen works in digital illustration techniques. In this piece, Nguyen examines and embraces elements of her personal identity as a Vietnamese-American illustratorand explores her relationship to style, gender, nature, fantasy, and plants. About the Artist: I'm a Vietnamese-American illustrator from the Washington, D.C. area, currently pursuing a degree in illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. I am set to graduate next summer, and I hope to pursue a career as a freelancer. My work focuses on examining and embracing personal identity and culture, as growing up as a minority in America has deeply impacted my experiences, as well as describing a love for discovery through travel and exploration. I am particularly fond of portraying stylish clothes, fantastical imagery and themes, and botanical aesthetics. The paper dimensions of this print are 11x14.
