The corkscrew according to Ettore Sottsass, an item both functional and emotional. Turned wood creates a corkscrew that is easy to use and comfortable to hold, with characteristics that make the occasions on which it is used memorable. Designed by Sottsass for Alessi as part of a series of colorful turned wooden tabletop objects in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Made in Italy of beechwood from sustainably managed forests and colored with water-based, solvent-free paints. 7" high x 2-1/4" wide.
