The Battle of Buena Vista, attempts to recreate that kind of image, …perhaps minus any ‘extremely fast’ requirement, such as those for circus marches. Many bands will have players capable of turning this work into an audience-pleaser! There are only a few difficult measures, but even those can be simplified if the need arises. This is a ‘historically American’ work, written by a German immigrant composer, and dedicated to an American President.  Put this on your “patriotic” list!
