Porsche 917/20 - Pink Pig - Canvas Print “Proof that the Germans have a sense of humor. The Pink Pig will go down as one of the most iconic racing liveries in the history of Porsche and the 24h of Le Mans. The shape of the 917/20 was the result of an aerodynamic design competition between Porsche’s own staff and the SERA design bureau in Paris. To the chagrin of the Porsche designers, the SERA study - with its large side overhangs and rounded wheel arches - got the nod. It was initially known as “Big Berta” but in an act of creative revenge Porsche stylist Richard Söderberg and Porsche designer Anatole Lapine transformed it into a pink pig: For Le Mans 1971, the pink livery featured dashed lines with names of cuts of pork. Each fender also sported a decal with a white pig inscribed “Der Trüffel Jäger von Zuffenhausen” (the Truffle Hunter from Zuffenhausen).
