It engages its internal thermostat between 30 °C and 90 °C to energize a heating stage, then disengages between 1 °C and 30 °C to de-energize, ensuring smooth ramp-up of 5–30 kW heat strips and minimizing inrush current. Housed in a rugged metal enclosure with a gasketed cover, it mounts directly to the heat-strip support and connects via standard spade-terminals.
