Why Fibered Silicone Sealant? GAF Silicone Fibered Sealant is apolyethylene fiber-reinforced,high-build, non-sagging verticalgrade silicone sealant. Featuresinclude low odor, easy application,a fast moisture activated cure, andstrong adhesion to a variety ofsubstrates. APPLICATION APPLICATION: GAF Silicone FiberedSealant may be applied by trowelor putty knife. Repair cracks,breaks, tears and holes by applyingsealant as required. Typicalapplication rates are between ⅛”to ½”, however, product can beapplied at higher rates asnecessary. Sealant can be appliedover old silicone coating or sealantwhich has cured. Work the sealantinto the crack or break and spreadit 2" to 4" beyond, feathering theedges. Check to see that no voidshave been left in patched areas.
