This coffee comes from the SOPACDI cooperative, a beacon of hope and resilience in a region that has faced years of conflict and hardship. SOPACDI, which stands for Solidarité Paysanne pour la Promotion des Actions Café et Développement Intégral, unites over 5,300 farmers from diverse ethnic groups in eastern Congo, working together to produce some of Africa’s finest coffee. Cultivated at altitudes ranging from 1460 to over 2000 meters above sea level, this coffee thrives in the fertile soil and mild climate surrounding Lake Kivu.
