Foreign Language Studies

We partner with the award-winning COFFEE BREAK education series to promote and develop more quickly to intermediate-level and beyond language fluency. LISTENING-SPEAKING: Coffee Break Language Podcasts: These projects are focused on listening and speaking in call-and-response methodologies with native speakers in a podcast format.  Each 30 to 40-unit series guides learners deeper from beginner into intermediate and advanced level conversation skills.  There is no book purchase required. Coffee Break Podcasts are offered for free via a variety of podcast providers (Apple Podcasts, I Heart Radio, etc). Participants provide written documentation of the phrases and vocabulary they learn each lesson to return for credit.  Note: Chinese language does not offer alphabet/writing lessons, so for this language only, audio documentation of speaking practice is required, and explained in the project instructions.
