Idlewild, known as Black Eden, was in a sense, a Black Wall Street or Martha’s Vineyard in the state of Michigan. People from all walks of life accessed Idlewild and continue to do so until this day. Idlewild, with its pristine lakes and vibrant spirit, is a gem in the Manistee National Forest. All who visit find a reason to come and stay a while in Idlewild!
