The Tale: Each of our artwork has its particular backstory, and “the Moonguard” is not an exception. Special reverence of the war deities by ancient Georgians was well known since earliest times. These include the Cross of Lashari, Kopala, and Iakhsari. However, special mention goes to “Tetri Giorgi”. Born from the mysteries of Georgian people, we revived its form and temper and named him “The Moonguard”. “White George” or Armazi, was a syncretic deity. As it turns out, asides from being the lord of storm, sky, rain, and plants, he also had the functions of a war god.
