  30x40 mixed media (oil, wood, paper, gold leaf, faux leather, cork, and gesso). Frame is NOT included.  There is something regal in celebrating the bond between father and son. Especially when it comes to the black family. Imagining royalty or a lineage of royalty—however problematic—was and is our way of combating white supremacy and the demonization of Africa as homeland. It is the sentiment that I attempt to register here. The background which is both ordered and chaotic—which evokes countless narratives—fills in the blanks of our collective humanity.
