Recombinant Human Albumin (rHA), expressed in rice, lyophilized powder
Description Recombinant Human Albumin (rHA), expressed in rice, lyophilized powder is a non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 585 amino acids and has a molecular mass of 67 kDa. The optimum concentration for recombinant albumin to be used in cell culture ranges between 0.5 g - 2 g per liter. The recombinant albumin is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Applications Due to free hydrophobic regions albumins are used to solubilize lipids and stabilize other proteins such as growth factors in tissue culture applications. They are also used as blocking agents in Western blots or ELISA applications and as a protein standard. Albumin has a low molecular weight, is easily soluble in water and contains an excess of acidic amino acids. Cell and tissue culture media supplement Used as serum substitute in serum-free, xeno-free cell culture Medium component for cryopreservation and stem cell culture Stabilizer protein in biochemical preparations Reduces unspecific bind
