Decaffeinated Sencha Green Tea
Description Grade Brewing Caffeine Our decaffeinated green tea hails from the Hunan Province of China starts with high mountain grown tea at 3500 feet above sea level. The tea leaves are then pan fired and processed as a traditional sencha style tea. No chemical solvents are used to remove the caffeine, which can dramatically affect flavor. This process relies on circulating naturally occurring CO2, along with high pressure and temperature to extract the caffeine. As with any decaf tea, there is a slight change in character of the tea due to processing, however, the end result is an uncompromising cup of tea with no chemical overtones. Sencha decaffeinated green tea has your typical vegetative and grassy flavor and seems less affected by this process than decaffeinated black tea Origin: Hunan Province China Grade: Sencha - Made to Japanese specification Altitude: 1500 - 4500 feet above sea level Manufacture Type: Non fermented, Traditional steamed, Pan dri
