Blue Fin Killifish (Lucania goodei)
Remarks: The Blue Fin Killifish (Lucania goodei) is a native fish to Florida that we have been breeding in one of our vats. According to literature, they vary greatly in color and behavior. Most males will have a light blue dorsal fin, red caudal fin, and a lemon-colored body with a black lateral line. Females typically lack the color of males. These small fish are shy and prefer heavily planted tanks without boisterous fish. If conditions are favorable, males will court females and they will together spawn in floating vegetation or spawning mops.
