Driftwood Catfish (Centromochlus schultzi)

Remarks: Centromochlus schultzi, which is also known as the Driftwood catfish, is a small omnivorous fish from the Rio Xingu and Rio Tocantins in Brazil. These fish mostly hide during the day and tend to come out at night to forage for food. They appear to be very poor swimmers and have difficulty maneuvering in tight spaces. Their lack of activity often catches our eye as a "problem" - i.e. they look like a fish that may have passed away during the night.
