Remarks: Chilatherina fasciata display a great diversity of color patterns depending on catch location. They are found throughout New Guinea, with populations separated by various blockages, such as waterfalls or dried sections of the river. The Kali Web location can range from yellow to orange to red, depending on mood. They can also appear bluish when young, but typically grow into warmer colors. They seem to keep their pink dorsal and anal fins regardless of mood, however. They get the signature abdominal stripes of all C. fasciata. The original eggs for this strain were sourced from Gary Lange. The photos have been provided by Jimmy Walker, and they show the various colors the fish can take on depending on the type of substrate you have.  Scientific Name: Chilatherina fasciata Common Name: Kali Web Rainbowfish Max Size: 5" pH: 6.2-8.1 Hardness: Moderate Temperature: 70-85° Aggressiveness: Peaceful Region of Origin: Oceania Captive Bred or Wild: Captive Bred Diet: Small flake or pel
