(Protomelas annectens)
Remarks: Protomelas annectens is a beautiful, solid blue fish. They appear somewhat similar to Blue Dolphins, although they are darker and do not have a pronounced forehead. Females tend to be dark gray but have some blue that comes out in the right lighting. Similar to Cyrtocara moorii, they will follow behind other cichlids in the lake and eat any food morsels that get stirred into the water column while the cichlid ahead of them feeds in the sand.
