Triceratops lived during the Late Cretaceous Period, around 68 to 66.038 million years ago (mya) in what is now North America. Triceratops was one of the last dinosaur genera to appear before the great Cretaceous and Tertiary extinction event. Individual Triceratops are estimated to have reached about 25.9–29.5 feet in length, 9.5–9.8 feet in height, 13,000-26,000 in weight.
