Handcrafted by Florinda and Lee Vallo of Acoma Pueblo this hand coiled wedding vase, a traditional form of Pueblo pottery used in wedding ceremonies and said to represent the union of a couple, was crafted from clay gathered from within the Pueblo of Acoma and is hand-painted with striking geometric patterns throughout.  Acoma Pueblo has a tradition of pottery that stretches back centuries. Today, like this vase, it is most known for a matte polychrome style of pottery featuring orange and black designs on a white background.  One of the most iconic and valuable pottery styles, Acoma Pueblo pottery represent a storied history of beauty and craftsmanship.
