LCD Soundsystem - Bye Bye Bayou - Vinyl Record
Repress of a LCD’s cover of Alan Vega’s “Bye Bye Bayou,” originally released in 2009. This special cover of Alan Vega’s “Bye Bye Bayou” was recorded during the sessions for This Is Happening, which took place at a charming mansion tucked away in Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon. The lovely photographs that adorn the sleeve were also taken during that time. It was first released as a 12” record for “Vinyl Saturday,” whatever that might have been, back in late 2009, and it hasn't been repressed since. The original version is a wild, pulsating blues-rock frenzy, and that mischievous energy is still present in the LCD version, but it feels more in the groove, a bit less wild. Basically, it’s music you can dance to without feeling completely ridiculous. The sleeve features a vibrant four-color print on reverse board. Lacquers were cut at 45RPM by Bob Weston. It was pressed at IRP in Bordentown, NJ. RIP Alan Vega. A1 Bye Bye Bayou B2 Bye Bye Bayou (A Capella Version)
