Intuitive Embroidery Workshop - October 14

Join Gabriela Martínez Ortiz of Ofelia y Antelmo for her first in-person workshop in the US at Indigo & Violet Studio! Intuitive Embroidery (Module 1)  by Gabriela Martínez Ortiz of Ofelia y Antelmo. Intuitive embroidery has to do with letting the hand be free. In this workshop, I will share with you my process and my path in hand embroidery. I will teach you how to make the different stitches that I use the most in my work, along with all their application possibilities. We will talk about color selection, how to create visual effects by repeating patterns, and how to create interesting compositions. At the end, I will share a file with all the references seen in class, along with artists that inspire me, books, and my latest research that can complement what I have learned. Kit includes: Embroidery kit (hoop, embroidery threads, a pack of needles, scissors, fabric), snacks, and drinks.
