Hens symbolize prosperity. These cloth hens are made in the stark desert of Northern India, where women have formed a crafts' cooperative, creating an economy where none existed. These colourful little ornaments, crafted from scraps of fabric are decorated with carefully chosen glass beads, silver sequins, and a little brass bell.
