1939 Merchants Delivery Promotional Calendar

Holiday season 1939 giveaway white-label calendar for Merchants Delivery, Racine, WI. This item is one of any number of vintage "white label" items: pre-manufactured items that could be easily customized to fit the clients who are buying them; no different than magnetic calendars sent from realtors and insurance agents. This particular item features a painting titled "He Made The World A Better Place To Live In" showing Will Rogers feeding an apple to his horse. Rogers was a well-known and beloved actor and vaudvillian who had died just a few years prior to this printing and was released beginning in November to mark what would have been his 57th birthday.
