c. 1898; Beatty-Brady Glass Co. - Bellaire, OH Pressed glass commemorative pitcher featuring a central portrait medallion of Admiral George Dewey, surrounded by textured patriotic motifs. Additional panels depict crossed flags, cannons, naval ships, and symbolic military emblems, celebrating Dewey's victory at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War. The pitcher stands on a flared pedestal base with a beaded rim and textured body. Produced by the Beatty-Brady Glass Company of Ohio, which was active in the late 19th century and known for their decorative pressed patterns and commemorative wares. Patriotic themes were popular subjects in glassware of the period, often produced as souvenirs and display pieces in support of national pride following the war. Shows light surface wear and minor roughness along the rim and base, with typical mold seam marks and bubbles from the original pressing. Crisp relief details remain visible across portrait and naval imagery. 9" H
