Antique A. C. Williams Cast Iron Fire Truck

c. 1920s; A.C. Williams Company - Ravenna, OH Cast iron two-man ladder fire truck. This toy has considerable paint wear but there is enough of the original red paint remaining to give it a wonderful aged patina finish. The 8 spoke steel wheels are also especially nice on this toy. The fireman standing on the back has a slight factory done separation leaving a small space between the two halves at the fireman's shoulder but nothing all that detracting. We did not notice this until we were taking these photos and believe there is a very good chance that this mold flaw was not considered serious and that many, if not all of these particular trucks had this flaw. The rivets holding the two casts of the truck remain tight and there is no play whatsoever between the riveted together two halves.There are no breaks, repairs, or missing parts on this toy. This piece is difficult to find and displays beautifully. 7.5" L, 1 lb. 5 oz. Please refer to photos regarding condition. MM - C-11427 -
