Antique Apothecary Label Dispenser with Original Tomahawk Co. Rolls
c. 1910s-1920s; Tomahawk Drug Co. - Tomahawk, WI Painted apothecary label cabinet featuring a single pull-out drawer fitted with steel cutting blades and segmented interior roll compartments. The dispenser retains multiple original pharmaceutical label rolls, including examples for denatured alcohol, prescription blanks, and "For External Use Only" notices from the Tomahawk Drug Co. of Wisconsin. Constructed of pine with its original cream enamel finish, the cabinet was designed to sit atop a pharmacist's workbench to keep paper labels neatly organized and easily accessible. The included rolls offer a remarkable glimpse into early 20th-century pharmacy operations, complete with period typography and local drugstore branding.
