Antique Union Bar Sign

c. 1910s/1920s; mfd. by The Meek Company (Local 19) - Coshocton, OH Antique placard denoting the business bearing this sign is part of the international hospitality and bartender unions. This painted tin sign was given to hotels, bars, and restaurants that joined the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Alliance and the Bartenders International League of America. Both of these groups worked together to improve working conditions for unrepresented service workers across the globe.
