c. 1910s; (likely) W. D. Allison Co. - Indianapolis, IN Antique japanned copper scissor arm wall-mounted lamp. This piece likely comes from W. D. Allison, a manufacturer of medical and dental lamps. The majority of this piece is comprised of a japanned copper body including a scissor arm construction that allows for a large area of adjustable ilumination. The green glass shade is similar in color to those on banker's lamps and features a ribbed exterior that appears to be inspired by a scallop shell. Exhibits minor signs of wear including tarnish, though glass shade appears to be free from chips/cracks. Tested, works. 22" - 52" L with a 7" dia shade Please refer to photos regarding condition.
