Prior to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, a healthy economy supported industry revenue growth. However, demand for industry products has decreased significantly due to the pandemic. Despite this setback, industry revenue has increased an annualized 2.0% to $14.5 billion over the five years to 2022, including a decline of 0.3% in 2020 and an increase of 3.1% in 2022 alone.
