Overview This active optical cable (AOC) consists of a HDMI male connector on both ends. The cable is also plenum rated for use in plenum air spaces for industrial applications. The cable has a built-in signal booster chipset which allows it to maintain a HDMI 2.1b signal over a thin cable at longer lengths with no signal loss. It is typically used to connect a HDMI source such as Blu-Ray players and PC's to a HDTV or monitor and supports full 8K Ultra HD resolution and High Dynamic Range (HDR). The AOC cable also works with splitters, switches and other video sharing devices. NOTE: This active optical HDMI® cable is directional. Each end of the cable is marking "Source" and "Display" to indicate the direction of the signal flow. Always test the cable to be sure that the signal flow is correct and for device compatibility before permanently installing in a wall or ceiling. Extend HDMI Signals Over Optical Cable These cables are plenum rated and constructed from both copper and optical fiber. They feature a built-in booster chipset ideal for maintaining 8K Ultra HD resolution and ensure a full 48Gpbs bandwidth with no signal loss over longer distances. Optimum Performance and Easy Installation These cables utilize AOC technology which make them more flexible and thinner than traditional long-length HDMI cables, making them easier to install. The transmission signal is transferred over fiber optic cable which eliminates EMI/RFI interference, maintaining a high level of performance even in high interference environments.
