These are drilled for a contact screw so you do not have to drill and tap them for the contact screw. They are threaded 8-32 from side to side and 8-32 for the contact screw. Our 8-32 threaded contact screws are perfect for these. Here are the specs: They are .630" long, .375" (or 3/8") diameter, from one side the center of the contact screw hole is .310" and .320" from the other side. This means if you put it on a machine and it is too close or too far from the frame, flip it over and it may line up. This is a pretty common formula so it fits MOST machines. The reason I do not drill and tap most of my binding posts is because there is no way to tell what parts you are, or the machine builder used to make everything line up correctly. These binding post being offset by .020" really helps fight that problem.
