Ars Longa Vita Brevis
Piece Description This character is part of Pinar Yoldas’s Genetically Modified Gods series. Aeon Borea is significant in that it is a Time being. Borea is engineered to live longer. Yoldas states, "through this character I wanted to inquire about our cultural obsession with longevity. The background symbolizes a waterfall or the constant passing of time, the cyclic motions of the character and abstract meatballs around him are also hinting at that.” For Infinite Objects, Borea is seen with a text "Ars Longa, Vita Brevis." Translated from Latin:Life is short, and art long, opportunity fleeting, experimentations perilous, and judgment difficult.
