Peach

After finally giving in on the idea of making a Plumb National style hatchet, I figured I'd go all in and made a Big Axe version as well.  Because the hatchet version is a Plumb Hybrid, I decided to call it the Pluot.  So sticking with the theme of stone fruits I figured the bigger version was obviously the Peach.  Designed for maximizing competitive scoring, the Peach weighs in at 2.7 lbs with a blade length maxed out at 4 & 5/8 inches. The Peach uses a modified Infinity Axes handle design.  1.5 inches  instead of 1.25 inches wide.  When working on the design, I felt the slightly larger handle matched the aesthetics better and would give more support to a heftier head.  The handle is still held in place by a 1/4 inch roll pin, making replacing a broken handle a breeze.
