It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected. Type 1 - In this scenario you already have a factory installed 8.4-inch radio in your truck. Follow the video listed below. Type 2 - In this scenario you have the smaller factory installed radio in your Ram 1500 truck.
