Purpleheart & Walnut Stick Dulcimer, 4-string

UNAVAILABLE: CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT Email inquiries or reserve one!  hey@heyinglewood.com This is a one-of-a-kind set of wood selections, with a walnut neck, sides, tailpiece, and a purpleheart back. The top is made of spruce, and the string protection pieces inlaid in the headstock are also purpleheart (see picture). The 4-string model has the same dimensions as our 3-string models, just with an extra string on the top to double the high string (melody string). This gives the instrument a nice mandolin quality and richness that we're particularly fond of. Crafted by hand in Inglewood (Nashville urbanburb) by East Nashville Instrument Co. You can play this one tuned to a standard DAD or GDG, but I prefer to try mine out tuned to the same intervals as a standard guitar (GBE).  Like a micro-guitar.  This approach provides me a fun little practice instrument, and as many guitarists know, sometimes it just takes that little extra change to reignite your playing creativity.  So go for it!
