This wallet file  is designed for 3mm wood. The wood parts will take very little of a sheet. The leather parts can be cut out of a 12x12 piece with plenty left over. Once the pieces are cut, you will need to finish the leather and saddle stitch together the wood and leather. I prefer to use 2oz veg tanned leather for this project, just make sure the leather you purchase is veg tanned to be cut in the laser.
