Old Friends

These are the upright pianos you grew up with. In living rooms, at grandma’s house, in little churches nobody wanted anymore. Out of tune, clunky and dusty but still writing songs. Every key was sampled as-is. The broken notes are just clacks. No reverb added, only a touch of compression. Layer them together and the pitch drifts into an interesting chorus that's trying to find the center. Old Friends isn’t a concert grand. It’s the piano that’s been with you all along.
