Slowing down samples can be beautiful, but what about speeding them up? Not in a frantic way, but shaping their long arcs into something more immediate. I chased that idea for a while, and my favorite place it landed was layering the ebb and flow of multiple orchestral instruments, then pairing them with aleatoric piano and guitar.
