Uprightette is built from five vintage toy pianos, each with its own quirks and character. For something so colorful it's valuable to have options, and this collection brings them together in one place. Four of the instruments are the classic 25 key models, joined by the Jaymar 49, a rare extended range toy piano that provides more notes without pitch shifting. That matters with toy pianos, since each note carries complex overtones that never feel quite right when stretched. Every instrument includes authentic key off sounds that capture the way toy pianos really behave. Unlike a standard piano there are no dampers, so the release is more mechanical than tonal, adding an extra layer of realism. The American makers, Jaymar and Schoenhut, tend to be brighter, while the European instruments, Goldon and Michelsonne, lean darker. Together they give you a full palette of toy piano sounds, from sparkling and percussive to moody and resonant. What you need: A full version of Kontakt 7 or abo
